Field research, squares in the dark
On Monday, February 19th around seven / eight in the evening I went to look at squares in Rotterdam. This is because the Schouwburgplein is a black hole on a cold winter evening, and I wanted to see if this is the same with other squares. And I could also look for the patterns at the squares .

Schouwburgplein, the black hole in the evening.
Even though it is surrounded with opportunities that are open in the evening as described in pattern 33 night life, the square is not a lively place.
During my visit to the squares there were only 30 people at the central station, the other places had only a few visitors or no visitors at all. I noticed that some places are not meant for Monday night, but the empty squares with beautiful lichts were not bad place to be. So as a conclusion, a square can also be beautiful and feel safe when is no one around.
I also noticed that under the Grafisch Lyceum people were sitting on the concrete blocks. Being out of the rain and wind is important if you want to sit somewhere (in the evening).
